I recently found some really fun cookies! They are from The Cookie Department. They like to think of their cookies as “fully functional” and not only are the cookies delicious they each serve a purpose. They are made with natural ingredients.

Here are the ones I tried. The Chocolate Chip Nookie - it is a chocolate chip cookie infused with Maca Root, which is a Peruvian Root that is known to be a natural aphrodisiac. It was very good and had a touch of sea salt. I didn’t notice any side effects of the aphrodisiac - maybe I needed a second cookie!

The Great Full Cookie is a vegan sweet potato, cranberry oatmeal cookie. Both sweet potato and cranberry are a good source of antioxidants. This I think was my favorite of the 4 cookies I tried.

IMG_1043The Tough Cookie is a peanut butter toffee cookie infused with 10 grams of whey protein - great before a work out. This one was also very good.

The last one I tried was the Awaken Baked - which is a caffeinated chocolate chip cookie infused with fair trade coffee. It is equivalent to one cup of coffee! What a great way to start your morning.

The other cookie that they make is The Snap Back - a chewy gingersnap infused with cayenne pepper, cloves and blackstrap molasses. They sell this cookie as their hangover cookie. It sounds like it would be pretty good. I am sure it is a hit with college kids.

As you can tell The Cookie Department has lots of fun cookies and sounds like it would be a fun place to work! If you would like to purchase cookies from The Cookie Department you can do so HERE. You can connect with them on Facebook.

Today is my birthday and when I think of a birthday I think of ice cream so I thought it would be a good day to talk about Arctic Zero Frozen Desserts. I love ice cream but I don’t love the high calories. I recently found Arctic Zero and they have some wonderful low calorie good for you ice cream.

Here is what I received from Arctic Zero to try. Here are the current flavors.

–Chocolate

I did not receive the Pumpkin but I bet it is good. I had two favorites the Coffee and the Mint Chocolate Cookie. Rex really liked the Strawberry and Chocolate Peanut Butter. They were all great tasting and they are all gone!
