Where has the time gone? Can you believe it is the almost Labor Day? That means the kids will be going back to school. Are you looking for some healthy snack for your kids to bring to school or for you to put in your desk drawer. Bringing things from home helps kids avoid all the unhealthy choices lurking around their school. It also helps you to have healthy snacks at work - avoiding the vending machines or from buying candy from a fund raiser.
One of my favorite snacks comes from KIND Healthy Snacks. I just love the Nuts & Spices bar. Here are just a couple of them my favorite is the Caramel Almond & Sea Salt. It is a great snack filled with protein! The other one shown here is the Dark Chocolate Mocha Almond. I didn’t think I would like this one but I did! There are all kinds of great tasting bars that have a variety of fruits, nuts and flavors.
KIND Healthy Snacks also has Healthy Grains bars. These are a bit softer and are baked from a foundation of 5 super grains, combined with real ingredients. They come in 5 flavors like the Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate, Oats & Honey with Toasted Coconut or Maple Pumpkin Seed with Sea Salt. These are great to have on hand too.
Another great snack to have on hand is Raspberry Clusters with Chia Seeds. They a foundation of five super grains mixed with tart raspberries, sweet cranberries, and crunchy chia seeds, all with a hint of vanilla. I love adding the clusters to my yogurt in the morning and sometimes adding some fresh berries. KIND Healthy Grains Clusters and contains 30g of whole grains with only 3g of fat. That makes them a good snack any time of the day. I sometimes grab a handful in the afternoon.

I really like to stick to fruits & veggies for a snack for the kids, but sometimes that is not convenient. The granola bars sound like an easy snack that is good for them.
I think the bars look delicious and I would use the granola in my yogurt.

Always pack Kind clusters (any variety) to mix in my yogurt, for a mid-afternoon pick me up.
This week I made a batch of hummus to snack on at work.
Some of my snacks are: carrots and hummus, almonds and dates, cashews and raisins, apples and peanut butter, frozen banana slices and peanut butter, grapes, Greek yogurt, cold cereal (usually Kashi or granola) and cheese and whole grain crackers. I would LOVE to have Kind Bars!

My sons are grown & out of the house now, but I personally enjoy healthy snacks of fresh fruits (currently eating a lot of watermelon) & veggies with hummus. If I know I’ll be on the go, I’ll throw a healthy protein or snack bar in my purse.

I helped my son by doing a final thorough cleaning after he moved out of his house rental yesterday & packed the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter with Protein Kind Bar in my bag. Boy, did I need that after about 5 hours of cleaning!

Sometimes, you need a snack that’s a little more portable & will hold up for “on-the-go” outings. This is when snack bars, such as Kind Bars, are better to take than fruit.
