One of my favorite things to do to relax is have either a cup of hot tea or during the summer ice tea. Recently I tried Tulsi Tea from Organic India. The teas contain Tulsi herb which is widely known for its health-promoting properties — for body, mind, and spirit for over 5000 years. Commonly called “sacred” or “holy basil,” Tulsi is a principle herb of Ayurveda, India’s ancient holistic health system. Ayurveda means “knowledge of life” — with herbs lying at the very heart of Ayurvedic practice. Tulsi also helps the following:
- Helps support your respiratory system health*
- Gives you antioxidant protection against free radicals*
- Provides you with a calming effect and relief from occasional stress*
- Helps support your immune system*
- Balances the health of your digestive system*
- Helps you maintain blood sugar levels already in the normal range*
I tried the Tulsi tea’s both hot and cold. My favorite was the Pomegranate Green Tea. I loved it both hot and cold. I love relaxing with a cup of tea and a good book. It has been pretty warm in Portland the last few weeks so ice tea is what I was drinking during the day. It was so easy to make - Here is what I did.
1. Unwrap 10 Tulsi Tea Bags and place them in a pitcher
2. Fill with cold water and cover
3. Let it sit for 2-8 hours. (I did mine over night)
4. Remove tea Bags
5. Fill glass with ice and pour in the tea. You can sweet as you find that you like!
I have found a new favorite! If you would like to try Tulsi Tea’s you can purchase it HERE. I am sure you will find a flavor you love!

A big glass of ice tea sounds great just about now. Probably because it is hot NV.
