I did something pretty unique and interesting yesterday. I had a couple friends over to watch a movie and also to test Febreze and learn more about Noseblindness. It is surprising how noseblind we become in our own homes. What is noseblind? It is the gradual acclimation to the smells of one’s home, car, or belongings, in which the affected does not notice them (even though their guests do).
We have 2 cats so that means 2 litter boxes and also 2 cats smells. Oscars favorite place to sit is either on the couch or in the window. He is an older cat so he does smell. I just didn’t notice that the candles I used didn’t take the smell away. It may cover the smell or mix in with it but it doesn’t last the cat smell is still there.
What we did yesterday is have a couple friends over and the first thing we did was fill in a survey. The survey asked what you smelled when you came in the door. We had a choice of a variety things ~ but I think everyone put pet smells or candle smells for my home. Then I made some popcorn to eat during the movie. We took another survey after that and the major smell was the popcorn. I love the smell of popcorn what about you? We eat popcorn a couple nights a week as a snack. We took survey 2 ~ on this one I think everyone picked food because of the popcorn smell. We then watched a movie - the movie was great Non-Stop with Liam Neeson. It kept us guessing to the end who was sending the text. I won’t spoil it for you but it was a good action movie. After the movie we took a survey number 3. By this time most of the popcorn smell was gone and the original odor was predominate again.
Next I got out the products Febreze had sent me which included:

- Febreze Noticeables with refill
- Febreze Fabric Refresher
- Febreze Candle
I sprayed the couch with the Febreze Fabric Refresher and waited a few minutes. We smelled the couch and the odor was gone and it just had a nice clean fresh smell. I was surprised how good it smelled. I checked it this morning and it is still working. I like that it removed the smell instead of covering it up. I also now have the Febreze Noticeable by the front door so when you walk into my house all you smell is Hawaiian Aloha ~ it is a combination of Hibiscus and Rain Forest.
You will should try the Noseblind test at your house and see what others smell when they walk in your door. I think you would be surprised. I now will keep using Febreze to help my home smell fresh and clean and like I don’t have any pets.

People would smell the musty odor when they walk into my house. We had some loose duct work under the air vent in the living room and, even though it’s been repaired the musty odor still lingers. I notice it when I have left my home and returned and when I open the door I can smell it.
