Many nights while watching TV Rex and I want a snack. Just the other night I decided to have some cheese, sausage and crackers but we needed just a little of something else that had some more flavor. I remembered that I had a jar of Maille Cornichons in the fridge. Cornichons are small pickles. These were in a great vinegar mix with lots of flavor. IMG_0057 I loved that you could see all the spices - tarragon, mustard seeds and baby onions.

These cornichons were a great addition to our snack. They were crunchy and would be perfect in a sandwich or even cut up and added to potato salad. They would be perfect in a Bloody Mary too. I am not sure if you can see it or not but the Maille Cornichons come with a ingenious pickle-lifter for easy no mess serving.

Maille Cornichons are produced according to time-honored French tradition according to a rigorous production process. Hand picked at exactly the right size, they are immediately prepared and packaged the same day, to ensure optimal quality and freshness. Once weighed and packed, the cornichons are bathed in a warm, vinegar-based, aromatized recipe, which ensures their crunchy texture, delicious taste, and deep green color.

What else that is great about Maille Cornichons is that they are a low calorie snack. Only 5 calories per serving which is 7 cornichons. So next time you are looking to add some flavor, crunch and low calories to a snack, sandwich or salad reach for Maille Cornichons. You can find Maille products nationwide at stores like Safeway and Whole Foods. Or you can buy them HERE online. You can stay connected with Maille’s on Facebook.
