The wooden handle makes holding on the the opener easy to grip. The opener is made of stainless steel so will last a long time. I am not sure how to explain but I like the way it is built to bend or fold when you put the lever on the lip of your bottle. This makes opening your bottle so much easier! I like that it is folds up and is compact. I could easily put it in my purse and carry it with me. I think this wine opener will be the last one I need to buy!
