Have any of you tried any sweeteners that use Stevia? I recently tried a couple products from SweetLeaf Stevia® Sweetener. I really liked the products I tried. They offer a whole line of products. The ones I have tried and really like are the SweetenersSweetLeaf® Liquid Stevia Sweet Drops™. They come in a wide variety of flavors Lemon, Root Beer, Berry, English Toffee and my favorite Peppermint Mocha. You can add them to coffee, hot chocolate, water and even your baking. Some products that take the place of sugar have a funny after taste - not so with the SweetLeaf Stevia® Sweetener products I have used.
I also used the SugarLeaf™ Baking Blend to make these Low Fat Cranberry Oatmeal bars. I was so surprised that Rex loved them! If he sees the work low-fat, gluten free or diet he doesn’t even want to try the recipe. These he loved! Again I was surprised that there was no funny after taste. They were very good.
Here is my recipe.
Low Fat Cranberry Oatmeal Bars Recipe

1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups quick oats
1/4 cup - 1/2 dried cranberries, cherries or blueberries
- Add sugars, yogurt, milk, vanilla, oil, and egg whites together in a large bowl. Mix well
- In a sperate bowl add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix Well. Add to yogurt mixture.
- Then add the oats and cranberries.
- You may add more cranberries or oats if you would like more flavoring.
- Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes till firm to touch and golden brown.
I am not sure where I found this recipe but I have been making it for years but just started using the SugarLeaf™ Baking Blend recently.
