One year when my sons were small I gave my father a homemade Fathers Day gift of a large red apple with floral individual flower holders poked into it filled with Daisies and a note that said ” Daiseys will never tell how special you are to me, Dad. I love you!” My father cried and said he had never been given flowers before and loved what bIn had written. I treasure that memory. I also gave him a bright red dress shirt that he completely wore out and he never wore bright colors before.
