I remember Pork Rinds from when I was growing up. Mom would once in awhile buy them for a snack. They have been around for decades. Today the Rudolph’s Original Pork Rinds are still made using Mary Rudolph’s special recipe that she created in her kitchen. They are really more traditionally a southern food, but the are a great low-carb snack and can be found nationwide.
When growing up I remember them only in the traditional flavor - now they have a few different flavors including Hot & Spicy Pork, Bold & Spicy BBQ and Chile & Lime. One thing I like to do with the Pork Rinds is crush them up and use them like you would bread crumbs - gives what ever you are making a unique flavor.
Rudolph’s has expanded beyond Pork Rinds for people who don’t care for the Pork Rinds. Including the following newer products; Rudolph’s Original and Louisiana Hot OnYums, and Rudolph’s Chile Limon Chicharinas. I like the OnYums!
The next time you are reaching for a crunch no carb snack don’t forget about Pork Rinds. You will get a great snack with good flavor and lots of crunch. This is a great snack for someone on a high protein diet. Each serving has 9 grams of protein and 0 carbs. You can purchase your favorite Rudolph’s Snack HERE online or locally at Walmart.
