I am not sure if any of you remember but I earlier posted about Zaycon Foods. It is a pretty unique company. They sell products like chicken, bacon, fruit and other products on line and then you pick them up from a semi-truck on the assigned day. They sell their products in 40 lb portions.
I got my chicken a couple weekends ago and I am very happy with it. You purchase your product online ahead of time and they send you a confirmation and time. We needed to pick our chicken up Saturday morning between 7:30 am and 9:30 am in Wilsonville. I can’t believe how easy it was. We drove down to the parking lot and they had some people giving directions. We were directed to the truck and I was asked my last name - they found I had one box of chicken. I popped my trunk and they put a piece of plastic down and then the chicken and I was off.
When we got home - we opened the box and there was 4 bags with 10 pounds of skinless boneless large chicken breast in each. The next thing we needed to do was cut up the chicken and divide it to be frozen. There was a little fat on the chicken but really not much. Rex was nice enough to do the dividing while I packaged up the chicken. The chicken breast were large so Rex cut each breast in half and I packed either 3 or 4 pieces in each bag. 
We have 27 bags of chicken in our freezer. When I cook I like to make a piece for each Rex and I and then have either 1 or 2 left for lunch the next day. I now need to explore all of my chicken recipes so we don’t get sick of having the same thing all the time. I am glad chicken is so versatile. We are planning on buy the chicken and some hamburger in the future the prices are very good. I the 40 pounds of chicken was only $73.60. This would be great to get for yourself or share with family or friends.
