While I was looking on line for places that had healthy and organic food I found a really neat site called Growfoo. The idea behind Growfoo is to help small businesses expand and make a difference outside of their local makets. On Growfoo you can buy and sell all natural, organic goods as well as homemade items.

Not only can you buy natural and organic products there is a farmer’s market form where you can ask questions and also list your favorite farmers market or maybe find one you were unaware of. The site is pretty new but it is growing every day. If you can add your local farmers market to the list or email Lance at info@growfoo.com that sure would help your neighbors out. Or if you have any questions about selling or buy on Growfoo you can contact Lance.

I actually got a new product that I have never used from Growfoo and Storinos who import Ahuacatlan Avocado Oil to sell. I received some Ahuacatlan Avocado Oil. I have heard of all kinds of oil but never Avocado Oil.

I really liked the Avocado Oil ~ The oil is different because it is clear when you pour it out, it is light and really has no flavor. It also can heat to a heated at a higher temperature without burning.

Avocados are one of the world’s healthiest foods and have more than 20 vitamins and minerals. Avocados and their oil are high in potassium as well as Vitamins A, D, and E. It also has the highest concentration of monounsaturated fats, which is the good fat!

The antioxidants and beta-sitosterol found in avocados help to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer, while maintaining eye health in aging adults. Avocados are also rich in monounsaturated fats, which help balance cholesterol levels. An essential nutrient for bone and cardiovascular health, the magnesium found in an avocado is also known to reduce migraines and prevent type II diabetes.

The Omega-3 Fatty Acids in avocados may reduce inflammation, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, depression and arthritis. Lastly, avocados contain soluble fiber and foliate, both of which aid in improving overall heart health.

I used the oil I received just like you do any other oils. I used it on salads and for roasting vegetables, its good for frying or sauteing items. IMG_0871

What’s really great is it comes in different sizes so you can buy a small amount to try or a larger amount because you love it! They also have a couple Ahuacatlan Avocado Oil‘s that are infused with either garlic, lime or chipotle flavorings so you can add a bit more flavor to your meals.

I am sure you will find many uses for Ahuacatlan Avocado Oil and be glad that you tried it. If you interested in purchasing it you can do so HERE online and have it delivered to your door.

Growfoo has a number of great products that you will want to take a look at. They have bath & body product, spices, sauces and farmers markets items. They are adding more all the time so you will want to check back and see what unique, natural and organic goods are available.

You may want to follow on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date on what is new at Growfoo.
