Do you love to try new things? Well I recently was able to try a Tortuga Caribbean Rum Cake and it was so good. It was nice and moist and very flavorful. For over 25 years, Tortuga has brought the Cayman Islands, the Caribbean, and the world the finest rum cakes. Which I do agree with.
This is one of them I tried. There are a number of flavors the two that I had were the Original Golden with walnuts and also the Banana. Some of the other flavors are Chocolate, Coconut, Key Lime and Pineapple.
The Tortuga Rum Company, Ltd. was started in 1984 primarily to appeal as a souvenir to the growing tourist and cruise passenger business. Tortuga Caribbean Rum Cakes and Gourmet Products are now the number 1 export of the Cayman Island and named the 2012 “Best Cruise Souvenir” by Porthole Cruise Magazine for the eighth consecutive year.
I also was able to try some of Tortuga 100% Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee. The coffee was rich and flavorful a perfect mate to the Tortuga Caribbean Rum Cake. They make such a good combination.
Tortuga also carries lots of other products Sauces including a line of very hot sauces Tortuga Hell-Fire Hot Pepper Sauce and Tortuga Sweet Heat Caribbean Pepper, they have Chocolates too including Tortuga Chocolate Rum Turtles with Sea Salt and Tortuga Chocolate Rum Fudge. As you can see Tortuga has lots of different products and they are available in gift and special food departments and gourmet stores throughout the Caribbean and North American as well as in onboard gift shops of over 100 cruise ships and of course on line HERE. Now you can have a taste of the Caribbean when ever you want!
