This weekend we had a few friends over to watch some of the football that was on TV. One of the things I served was Bloody Mary’s. I used a new vodka I had received - it was the Ukraine’s famed Khortytsa (Hor-Ti-Tsa) Vodka. I had a number of different flavors to try first was the Platinum but I also had Khortytsa Pepper Honey Hot. The Khortytsa Pepper Honey Hot was really good in the Bloody Mary - it gave it the heat that it needed with a bit of a sweet after taste. I also served my favorite of all drinks - I call them “47” not sure why but that is what I call them. They have vodka, pineapple juice and cranberry. Back in the day when I bartender this was my drink. 
It was the first time I had tried the Khortytsa brand even though it is recognized as one of the world’s leading vodkas, but is still a relative newcomer to the American market, imported to the United States by Global Spirits USA. Everyone enjoyed trying the different Khortytsa Vodka and really thought that they tasted good. We had 4 different ones to taste. I already told you about the Khortytsa Pepper Honey Hot which combines green mint coolness, hot pepper and smooth flavor of lime honey.
The Khortytsa Platinum is the main featured vodka - which is created for those who appreciate a delicate flavor. I thought it had the least taste of alcohol.
The Khortytsa Ice has more of a subtle floral flavor and has the feeling of coolness. The bottle changes color when it is chilled.
The finial is the Khortytsa Deluxe I thought this would be the best vodka for martinis or gimlets or simply on the rocks.
