I have been wanting to try oven gloves for awhile so I was happy to try this set from Nomex. I sometimes find that a regular pot holder doesn’t give me the flexibility I need to put a kettle or pan in the oven. They don’t seem to cover enough area.
I was very happy with the Nomex Oven Gloves. They are very thick but flexible and really protect my hands. I feel that I get a more secure grip when using the gloves than what you do with oven mitts or pot holders. Rex really liked using them when he was BBQ. I can see where these would be very useful camping.
The gloves are made of extremely heat resistant aramid fibers called Nomex. The same material is used in fire fighters vest. If they get wet you will want to remove them and let them dry. The gloves are long and cover 3.6 inches of your wrist so if you are using them near a fire sparks won’t hurt your wrist.
I like that the inside is cotton and the gloves themselves are washable. I can see where these gloves will be used by both Rex and I and maybe we need another set.
If you would like to purchase your own Nomex Oven Gloves you can do so on the link below from Amazon.com.

I don’t know how many burns I’ve gotten from gloves that are pretty but useless - and they don’t look great after using for a while, anyway. I need to try these!
