nature's_logoI am not diabetic but my Mom is so I am always looking for products that she might like.  Nature’s Hollow has products that are sugar-free and they tasted great.  They use a natural sweetener called Xylitol which is a 5-carbon sugar alcohol that is ideal for diabetics or anyone else looking to decrease their sugar intake. Nature’s Hollow has a number of different products and I was able to try a few.  The first are the great tasting jams.  I tired the Raspberry Sugar-Free Jam Preserves and it was great – you could taste all the fresh fruit that Nature’s Hollow uses.  I could not tell that it was a sugar free product.  They also have Apricot, Mountain Berry, Peach, Strawberry and Wild Blueberry ~ what a great selection.  Your family wouldn’t miss the sugar in these jam preserves.

I also received some Sugar-Free Ketchup and I have tasted other sugar-free ketchup at my Mom’s and they are not to good tasting.  Nature’s Hollow was the best tasting low-carb ketchup that I have tasted. I would use it on a regular bases.

The next item I tried was the Sugar-Free Honey and I thought there is no way this will taste any good and what a surprise it tasted like honey!  I have used it in some of my recipes and really could not tell that it was sugar free.

IMG_1304The last item was the Maple Sugar-Free Syrup.  This too was very good.  It was some of the best sugar-free syrup I have had. The syrup comes in Maple and Raspberry.

I was really happy to find Nature’s Hallow and all their good tasting products. I am getting some of the products for my Mom I am sure she will love them too. If you are diabetics or just looking at decreasing your sugar intake you can purchase your own Nature’s Hollow Products HERE.  You can also connect with Nature’s Hollow on Facebook.

This time of the year I think of Jam and Jelly with all that nice fresh fruit.   I  recently tried  a couple great products  from Blue Ridge Jams. Blue Ridge Jams has over 200 varieties of specialty food products including fruit jams, jelly, pickles and a number of other products.

IMG_1234Blue Ridge Jams makes their products in small batches using only fresh fruit and vegetables, pure cane sugar and only the finest ingredients. They are located in North Carolina and have been making great tasting products since 1961.

I love this Black n’ Blue Preserves from Blue Ridge Jams. It has Blackberries, Black Raspberries, and Blueberries in a preserve that is like nothing I have ever tasted. My family might be a bit different but I love jam on french toast and grilled cheese sandwiches.  I remember growing up and mom would make them for lunch.  I used the Black n’ Blue Preserves on my french toast recently and it was great.  It’s good on English Muffins too!

IMG_1235The next thing I tried from Blue Ridge Jams is the Cherry Pecan Conserve. Yummy is all I can say.  I loved this on top of vanilla bean ice cream.  It was so good. This is made with cherries, pineapple, and pecans. I think it would be yummy on french toast or waffles too.

The finely item I tried was Jalapeno Strawberry Jelly.  I was a bit unsure about this one, it is  a is a sweet pepper jelly with a strawberry twist, the spicy flavor.  I decided to use it on Chicken that we were grilling one night as a glaze and it was delicious.  I was so happy that I tried it.  We have used it a couple times like that.

You can purchase your own great tasting products from Blue Ridge Jams online HERE. You can also stay in contact with Blue Ridge Jams on Facebook.
