I am very excited to tell you about this great Spring Bark Mold that I received from Good Cook.  It is a silicone mold with some fun spring designs.  It was so easy to use and I love how the vanilla almond bark turned out.

IMG_0050The first step to making the bark is melting the chocolate.  I melted my in the microwave checking it every 30 seconds.  The next step is spreading the first layer of chocolate in the mold.  After you have the first layer – you melt more chocolate. This layer is the layer you can add what ever you like to it. I added almonds and a bit of almond flavoring.  IMG_0051

After the second layer I added some mini M&M’s and some little flower candy confetti to the top. Next let the chocolate harden ~ It didn’t take long.  Once it was done I turned the mold over on a pan and pushed the chocolate out.  Next I just cut the bark into pieces.

Here is my how it turned out. I can’t wait to use the mold for other things – next on my list is corn bread for dinner.  But I am going to try it for some cakes I want to make and I think it would be great for pancakes – I recently saw a recipe were they suggested baking your pancakes.  This mold will be perfect for it.  Here is the recipe I used from Good Cook.
