Here is one of them that I received. It is the Solid Blue Star Lantern .

swaq-aquila-star The second one I have is the Aquila Star Lantern.  I love both of them and have them hanging in my bedroom.

The stars come folded flat and they pop open like an origami masterpiece.  Most of the stars measure 24″ across when open. They are very easy to assemble.

Star lanterns have a rich history and originated in India as part of the Diwali Festival.  Diwali is one of the biggest festival of Hindus, celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness in India. The festival is celebrated for five continuous days, where the third days is celebrated as the main Diwali festival or ‘Festival of lights’.

Today the paper lanterns are handmade by talented artisans using modern technology to create these unique combinations of color and texture. Many of the Star Lanterns have shapes cut out and then are backed with tissue paper to create a stained glass look.  At night when the lanterns are lit  you will see designs on the walls.

I think these lanterns would be good for girls bedrooms, parties, weddings and just to help brighten a room.  You can find purchase your own Star Lanterns HERE at Divine Planet. You can also connect on Facebook.
