IMG_1478Have you ever thought about how much fun it would be to design your own stuffed toy?  To be able to pick out what the eyes, mouth or ears looked like?  I found this great site called Happy Toy Machine that lets you design your own one of a kind plush toy.  Here is the one I designed.  It was so much fun! I call it Shadow Monkey – it looks a lot like one of my cats.

It was so easy to do – you first decide if you want a Plushling or Smushimal.  Once you do that you are given a variety of body choices – like maybe a animal, monster, robot or a shape.  Then you add the rest of the features such as body parts, colors, facial features, and decorations, and even add your name or a message.  What’s nice is you get to see what you are designing and you call add the eyes and then change them if they are not what you like.  I had fun trying out different feet, ears and eyes.

I like the toy designer because you can keep designing your plush toy until you get exactly what you want.  Your child can go to the toy designer and spend hours making sure he/she gets the plush animal that they will love. You can save it and come back later and change it some more.

If you don’t want to design your own you can go to the Happy Toy Machine and pick one of the cute already designed plush toys. There are a ton to choose from.

Happy Toy Machine is committed to making sure that all of the products are safe to play with (and snuggle with). A couple of key steps we’ve taken to ensure safety:

  • All of the features are embroidered on. This means no glued-on or snapped-on features that can fall off and potentially pose a risk to tiny children.
  • All of  the  fabric and stuffing material is certified to be non-toxic and child-safe. Even if your child wants to chew on her toy from time to time.

If you want to make your own plush toy – you can go HERE to the toy builder and get started on your one-of-a-kind toy.  You can also follow Happy Toy Machine on Facebook and Twitter.
