These warm days are just perfect for ice cream and I recently tried Alden’s Ice Cream. Alden’s Ice Cream is the first family sized premium organic ice cream of its kind. It is made here in Oregon in the largest family owned and operated creamery. It was founded over 80 years ago.
What I like is that Alden’s Ice Cream is organic and supports the farmers in the area. It comes in in 6 premium flavors: Vanilla Bean, Chocolate-Chocolate Chip, Strawberry, Cookies’n Cream, Blackberry and Mint Chip.
I tried two different flavors the Chocolate-Chocolate Chip and the Vanilla Bean and I loved both. The Vanilla Bean brought back some great memories ~ it tasted like home made ice cream. When I was younger I grew up on a small dairy farm in Wisconsin On special occasions my mom would get out this old green ice cream maker. You plugged it in and used salt with it. That ice cream was the best! I don’t know if it was because we made and ate it as a family, we didn’t get it very often, or only the farm fresh ingredients that it was made from but it sure was good. That is what Alden’s taste like! Like home made fresh ice cream.
If you get a chance to try Alden’s you should. You can find it at local stores like Safeway, Fred Meyers and New Seasons. You can stay in touch with Alden’s on Facebook and Twitter.
