nav_logoI have been doing research on new products and looking for something that is good for you.  When researching chia seeds I stumbled on Salba Chia.  What is Salba Chia? It is the richest whole food source of Omega-3 fatty acids (ALA) and fiber found in nature on a gram for gram basis. Every 15g serving of Salba provides over 3,400 mg of Omega-3s (ALA) and over 5,000 mg of dietary fiber. Salba has less than 1 g net carbohydrate per serving.

Salba chia is a multi-tasker of a seed. It provides potential benefits for the following individuals:

  • Athletes and sports enthusiasts
  • Seniors and the elderly
  • Children and Adolescents
  • On-the-Go Individuals
  • Anti-Aging/Wellness
  • Anyone looking to improve their nutrition and health

Chia has been around for ages ~ early athletes looked to chia as a super fuel for energy and endurance and you still can do the same today.

I tried a few different products from Salba Chia, I tried the Salba Seeds: Boost Whole Seeds, Salba Seeds: Boost Premium Ground, and Salba Seeds: Whole Seeds in a bag.

Chia seeds may be added to other foods as a topping or put into smoothies, oatmeal, yogurt, made into a gelatin substance, or consumed raw. Partly because there is no perceptible shell, addition of chia seeds to other products may not alter taste.  I did not notice much flavor so adding them to my daily diet was not a problem.  I did seem to have a bit more energy when adding the Salba Chia to my oatmeal in the morning.

Salba Chia Gram for Gram provides . . .

  • 325% more fiber than oatmeal
  • 800% more Omega-3 (ALA) than salmon (EPA/DHA)
  • 30% more antioxidants than blueberries (based on ORAC values)
  • 1500% more magnesium than broccoli
  •  200% more potassium than bananas

As you can see there are many reasons why to add Salba Chia into your daily diet plan.  I plan on continue my use of the seeds just to help add a boost to my diet. Other than the few products I tried Salba Chia offers   Organic Tortilla Chips and Salsa. If you want to purchase your own Salba Chia you can purchase it HERE. If you would like to stay connected to Salba Chia you can do so on Facebook and Twitter.

Salba Chia has also offered one of my readers the same three products I tried; Salba Seeds: Boost Whole Seeds, Salba Seeds: Boost Premium Ground, and Salba Seeds: Whole Seeds in a bag.  You must be 18+ and have a US shipping address.
