Good Cook Touch Treasure Hunt

Here are my favorite two items.  The Touch Plastic Double Handled Colander and the Stainless Steel Locking Tongs.

You should have seen my old colander – it was old and one of the legs was broken off.  I really like the deep basket and that wide nonslip handles on this Good Cook Touch Colander.

The Locking Tongs is great too – you can really get a hold of the item you are grabbing or turning.  I know both these items will get a lot of use at my house.

I used both of these tools on Saturday to make one of my favorite dishes.  Here is a picture of my dinner and I also am including my yummy recipe.

 

 

Chicken Tortellini and Pesto

1 to 2  cups sliced Mushrooms

1 medium Onion cut into large chunks

3 cloves Garlic minced

1 pound Chicken Breast

1 container Store Bought Pesto

1 package Cheese filled Tortellini cooked according to instructions

Shredded Parmesan Cheese  or other Italian Cheese

 

Brown mushrooms, garlic and onion in olive oil until tender.  Place on the side and brown chicken until done. Then cut chicken into small bite size pieces putting back in pan with mushrooms, garlic and onions.  Stir in the pesto until hot.  Add hot tortellini to mixture and serve.  I garnish with parmesan cheese.  This is an easy week night meal when served with a salad and garlic bread.

A great thing about this dish is that it can be served hot, warm or cold and taste great!
