We never finish a whole bag of chips or snacks in one seating.  The next time we decide to eat the chips they are not fresh and we end up throwing them away.  That is why I was happy to try this DOB Mini Portable Household Plastic Bag Heat Sealer #BagSealer.

I didn’t find any real instructions I could use on how to use the sealer, but I figured it out. It needed two AA batteries.  It heated up right away – and after a few tries I was able to seal the bag shut.  You squeeze it to heat and then insert the bag and run the sealer along the top.  It will seal but it gets pretty hot so watch your fingers.

One of my favorite things I thought would be that it had a magnet on it and I could hang it on the fridge but the magnet wasn’t very strong.  Rex fixed that by adding another magnet. It now is hung on the fridge and if we open a bag of chips, cereal or anything in plastic we try to remember to reseal it!
