Starting this time of year I start drinking more things like lemonade and ice tea. I don’t like adding any sugar to my drinks but I have been looking for an Organic product to use to give my drinks a bit more flavor.  I recently found out that SweetLeaf makes an Organic Stevia Sweetener.   SweetLeaf® is the award-winning stevia sweetener with zero calories, zero carbs, non-glycemic response and NO artificial ingredients.  IMG_1190

What is Stevia? The Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni plant was discovered more than 1,500 years ago by the native Guarani people,  growing in clumps of two or three along the edges of the rainforests of Paraguay. In the beginning, the natives used the leaves for their medicinal benefit, to freshen their breath and to sweeten and mellow the strong taste of herbal yerba maté tea.

Now Stevia is used in many different products.  SweetLeaf offers the SweetLeaf Sweetener, Sweet Drops, SweetLeaf Water Drops and now Organic Sweet Leaf Organic Stevia Sweetener.

The Organic Sweet Leaf Organic Stevia Sweetener comes in a variety of different containers – including a shaker and individual packets.  I love the packets so that I can bring them in my purse and use them when ever I am away from home.  Each little packet contains the sweetness of two teaspoons of sugar and is perfect to add to your drink, coffee, cereal or fruit.

If you would like to try the Organic Sweet Leaf Organic Stevia Sweetener or any of the other SweetLeaf products you can do so HERE.
