Remember when I talked about how I was going to make some changes in 2015?  I have signed up and I am  participating in the 30-Day Realistic Resolution Challenge on SparkPeople.com.  I would love for you to do the same.  For the next 30-Days you will find some great ideas, tips and recipes to help get you in shape.  This challenge is sponsored by Gorton’s and SparkPeople.com.   You will find everything you need on SparkPeople.com. It is a great free site that offers personalized meal plans and fitness plan.  They have a food tracker, message boards, articles, recipes, tips and much more.

IMG_0946From Gorton’s I received a number of items to help me lose weight and to get motivated.  This book The Spark was written by the creator of SparkPeople.com.  I haven’t finished the book but so far it is really interesting.  One of the things that the author started doing was exercising for 10 minutes a day. He talked about how he did it ever day and started a streak.  He kept track of how many days in a row he exercised for 10 minutes and pretty soon he saw a change – he had more energy and felt better. By his streak he encouraged one of his co-workers to start moving and she encouraged others.  So I am want to encourage you to start a streak – you can choose what you do for me it is the exercising and eating better.  So far I am on day 3! Gorton’s sent me this SparkPeople Boot Camp DVD that I have been using.  This all-in-one DVD features fat-burning cardio and multi-joint strength exercises in three distinct workouts: a ballet-inspired barre routine (using a chair), an equipment-free fat blaster, and a heart-pumping dumbbell workout. Three trainers demonstrate beginner, intermediate, and advanced versions to guide you at your own pace. It’s a great DVD.

I also received a SparkPeople Cookbook, a insulated tote and the best some full-value product coupons from Gorton’s Grilled and/or Simply Bake products.

Rex and I love fish so we were excited to try the Gorton’s products.  The first one we tried was the Simply Bake Haddock in a garlic herb and butter. It was so good and easy to make. It comes in a silver foil bag.  The foil locks in the flavor for perfect seafood every time. No prep, no mess. The second item we have tried was the Grilled Roasted Garlic & Butter Tilapia.  This too was easy to make and it tasted like we grilled  outdoors.  The best thing about both of these products is that they are low calorie.  Gorton’s also has a nice variety of products so we have a choice of what we want to eat.

I would like to encourage you to do the following:
