Like everyone else at this time of year I take a look at myself and say Kay you need to make some changes. So this year I am going to be more healthy. I am going to lose weight, do things that make me smile, exercise and just take some time for me. I am not going to let myself get stressed out or worry about things I have no control over. I know this is easy for me to say but I am going to do my best and try to improve me.
What does that mean for my readers? To start with I am going to commit to at least one story a week regarding health, food, diet, green or doing something nice for someone. I am going to share pictures of my healthy meals and of things I find along the way that you would find helpful. I am hoping to be inspired and to inspire anyone who desires to live a healthier lifestyle along with me.
I would love if you would share your helpful and healthy tips with me in the comments below. I am always looking for new recipes and snack ideas too!
I am so blessed to have the readers I have and look forward to 2015 and making a few improvements!

Happy New Year! I am starting off with a good spirit and I say keep up any good habits and maybe let one bad habit fall for a few and see how your New Year goes. Always nice to let a bad habit fly in the wind!

I generally don’t make New Years resolutions, but this year I did make one to try to become healthier.

We made severaal reesolutions but it mostly had to happen because my husband had a heart attack in November. We have to move more and sit less. I love blogs (I am one of your longtime followers) and that means I cant comment or be around much because I try and limit my time online. Right now I am breking my own rule as it is past 2am and here I am and I have to be up at 7am !
Good luck I am allways looking for ways to eat healthier .As a full time grandma to a 4 year old i get plenty of exercize and i find that just walikng daily does help

I am going to try to eat healthier and be more active. I lost 100lbs last year.
Love these inspirational posts! I was wondering if you could post some tips or advice on how to gain weight. I weigh barely 100 pounds. My weight has been fluctuating for the past 3 years. I have moderate COPD and after losing my Mom at that time, I lost 30 pounds. My average weight is 125, hardly ever going under 118 or over 135. I have gotten so weak, along with losing all of my muscle. I’d appreciate any posts on this issue I am having! Thanks so much!
Living healthy is something that so many of us struggle with. It helps to see others are working towards the same goals. Best of luck!! I look forward to following your journey and using it to inspire me to do the same.
Best of luck
I am working on being healthier too. It is not always easy.
Wishing you only the best and YOU CAN do it and YOU WILL do it!
I love your blog and am looking forward to reading your stories and getting your recipes. Once I can get over this flu I have I will be posting a different recipe each day of the week pertaining to a certain theme for the day so you might want to watch for it in the next week or so.
Still haven’t began my routine I will be doing with an exercise program. See doc soon and will be referred to physical therapist for advice on a routine and will begin immediately after. Also, I want to try the Yoga and think it will at least help with the fibromyalgia.
I think you and I have the same goals. I need to motivate myself to get out of my comfort zone, and start living a healthier life.
I like your encouraging words. I need to follow you on this goal…I need to just do it!
Great post! Good luck on your journey, I will be rooting for you!

I suggest looking at some gluten free recipes for lower carbs. This can be paired with other items for the whole family as well. I love trying veggies in new ways. Looking forward to 2015 with you.
2015 has good things in store.
Ready to start but very slowly with physical therapy.
Hoping this physical therapy helps with all of these pain issues.
I’m not a very healthy person but through people like you I hope to be inspired to live and eat healthier Thanks for sharing your goals with us
Linda, I know what you mean about the inspiration! But, I have to be honest about not only not being very healthy but also being unable to eat most healthy foods. Terrible but I gag easily and am like a child. I just can’t eat something I don’t like. I’m unhealthy from smoking 40 years but I did quit last year. The other reasons are from chronic pain that I will soon be working on; doc fixing me up with physical therapist.
I am looking forward to finding new recipes on your blog this year. I love finding new recipes for my family 🙂

Finally getting to see an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to hopefully take care of this hip pain before I return to school in May. Hoping he can scrape this arthritis that is supposed to be really bad. My lower back-don’t know what he will find or what he can do but hope something!
Not doing so good on my goals already. I guess I better push a little harder.

It has been challenging this year thus far. We (husband & I) resolved to get healthier. ‘Seems the more we think about it, the less healthy choices we make.
