I love to try new skin care products.  Recently I received this Adovia Facial Serum.  It is an anti-aging, skin lifting, facial serum with vitamin c, Dead Sea Salt and green tea.  It is funny when you are young you want to look older ~ now that I am 50 I want to look younger. Well I have been reading up on different things that help your skin look better.  One thing that I have read and have seen for myself is that my face is not as hydrated as it was in the past.  So I need something that will deliver deep moisture and something that has lots of minerals & nutrients in it.

Adovia Facial Serum has a high concentration of Dead Sea Minerals and Salt in it. It also contains seaweed for a rich infusion of nutrients to fee and nourish your skin. It is just what I was looking for!  What I like about Adovia Facial Serum is how well it absorbs into my skin.  It make my skin feel good and it does not look oily. The gel is very light weight and you don’t need much.  I like that Adovia uses natural ingredients that work together to increase your skin’s elasticity and firmness.

Adovia Facial Serum is easy to use too.  You just put a few drops on your finger tips and blend into your face and neck. I make sure I use it around my mouth and eyes where I have noticed an increase of wrinkles lately.  Since I started using Adovia Facial Serum I can see my skin is looking clearer and is getting more firm.  I am very happy with the results. If you want to purchase Adovia Facial Serum you can so do HERE at Amazon.com.

I think there is nothing worse than a warm bottle of beer.  Don’t you hate when you get half way done drinking your beer is is warm?  Wouldn’t it be great to find something that would keep it cold all the way to the end?  I have found a great product called Chillsner. Chillsner is the first and only in-bottle beer chiller that keeps cold beer cold from the first sip to the last.

It is so easy to use – you freeze the Chillsner for 45 minutes.  Then you put it in your beer bottle, press firmly to create a tight seal and then you drink through it.  It has a 4 flow vent system that delivers a smooth, consistent flow of perfectly chilled beer with every sip.  What I like is that it is sturdy stainless steel and it freezes easy and is also very easy to clean.

The Chillsner comes in a set of two – so you can use one and have the other one freezing so every beer will be cold till the last drop.  This would be a great gift. I know a number of people who would love the Chillsner to use either at a BBQ, tailgating, or party.  If you want to order one to give or keep for yourself you can go HERE.

I am always looking for products that are natural and good for you. I had heard awhile ago that Apple Cider Vinegar is really good for you. Apple cider vinegar is rumored to be a magical elixir to help with weight loss and digestion. Its medicinal uses date back to the time of Hippocrates, the father of medicine, who noted it as a remedy for many ailments with zero known harmful side effects. I knew someone who would drink some every morning.  He said it was an important part of his diet and that it helped him feel better.

When I saw that there were Elite Gold Solution’s Apple Cider Vinegar Gold supplements I thought I better try them.  Here are some of the benefits of the apple cider vinegar:

  • Help improve digestion
  • Excellent source of naturall occurring potassium
  • Helps cleanse the body of toxins
  • Promotes improved blood circulation
  • Reduce the levels of fat stored in the body
  • Reduce acid reflux and heartburn
  • Fight Candida (yeast) in the body

Elite Gold Apple Cider capsules are natural and free of harmful additives and preservatives. They are made in the USA and GMP certified.  They are easy to use you just take 1 or 2 capsules up to 3 times daily with your meals.  I take them with a big glass of water. I had been having some cramping in my legs at night and I meant to check with my doctor if maybe I need more potassium ~ but I haven’t had any cramping the last two weeks so I think the Apple Cider Vinegar Gold supplements are helping my legs. I will continue with using the Elite Gold Apple Cider Gold capsules – who knows it could even help me lose weight!

If you would like to purchase your own Elite Gold Apple Cider Gold Supplements you can do so HERE on Amazon.com

Praise for Uncovering Cobbogoth

“With a fascinating protagonist in Norah Lukens, a fully realized, never before seen fantasy world, and a fast paced, compelling story, Uncovering Cobbogoth establishes Hannah L. Clark as a major new voice in American fiction. The richness of the story and the scope of the world she’s created screams for a film adaptation. This is a fantasy novel for everyone, even readers not usually drawn to the genre. Highly, highly recommended!”

-Bryce Clark, author of Red Shirt Kids

“This book takes you on a wonderful ride, bringing myth and legend to life. The characters are full and flawed, with a sweet romance woven through the adventure.”

– Annette K. Larsen, author of Just Ella

“Uncovering Cobbogoth is an Icelandic tale that will appeal to many Harry Potter series fans […] For those who’ve missed the Harry Potter world, here’s a pretty good alternative!”

– Sharon Haddock, For the Deseret News
“This isn’t a typical YA fantasy/scifi/para story like the multitude of vampire or witch or werewolf or mermaid themes that fill bookshelves in stores currently. When after a couple of chapters it became apparent that this wasn’t yet another entry into the aforementioned themes, I was downright giddy. And then to find out there wasn’t a standard issue love triangle? I wanted to find the author and buy her dinner.”

-Radar626, Amazon reviewer

“A friend of mine recommended this book […] I checked it out and I was so pleased! I love this book. I can’t wait to read the next one […] and I am encouraging my daughter to read it as well. If you like fantasy with a little mix of science this book is perfect. I had such a hard time putting this book down just so I could deal with real life and working on promoting my own book. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this book.”

-Pamela Hall, author

The Legend of the Cobbogothians is really where Uncovering Cobbogoth begins. For as long as Norah can remember, her Uncle Jack has been obsessed with the mythical people. He became an archeologist and world famous Myth-chaser because of the Cobbogothian legends he heard while visiting his Granddad Aegissida’s farm in Iceland.

The Legend of the Cobbogothians

Long ago, at the beginning of time, a peculiar race ruled the earth. They found favor in the eyes of the gods and received great gifts of knowledge and power at their hands. These gifts made them elementalists—masters of earth, wind, fire, water, metal, wood and space. The elementalists thenceforth became rulers of the earth and sky.

With this power came corruption, and the elementalists soon forgot their patron gods. Instead, they turned to worshipping themselves and their own creations. This angered the gods, and in their wrath, the vowed to bring an icy end to the prideful race.

Rumors of the looming destruction were heralded throughout the land, and a final invitation was issued to the elementalists to renounce their fallen ways. Yet only a few heard and heeded. Among them was a man named Cobbogoth. Being a wise and humble servant of the gods, he believed the warnings and led all who would listen deep into the bowels of the earth to wait out the approaching storm.

When the day of destruction was come and the wrath of the gods rained down, the race of elementalists was wiped away, and then came the dawning of a violent and frigid ide age.

It is said that Cobbogoth’s posterity still lives beneath our feet, waiting to rise and rule the earth and sky once more.

In 2006 she graduated from Utah Valley University with a bachelor’s degree in English and immediately began writing Uncovering Cobbogoth, the first book in a seven book series based on Clark’s mythological brain-child, the Icelandic Legend of the Cobbogothians.
Clark loves her family, running, mythology, laughing, soulful bluegrass music, road-trips, studying alternative medicine, retro hairdos, and growing things. As I promised I am looking for some great ideas for the up coming 4th of July Holiday. We like to grill on the 4th and have a BBQ. So I was looking for some recipes to share. Sally's Baking Addiction Hi-Res Cover

Sally’s Baking Addiction

Irresistible Cupcakes, Cookies, and Desserts for Your Sweet Tooth Fix

By Sally McKenney

February 2014

Race Point Publishing

$25.00US/$28.00 Can

ISBN: 978-1-93799-434-1

One of the things I like about the 4th of July is everyone getting together. When I was growing up we always had a family reunion which meant everyone brought their favorite food.  Mine was always the cookies, brownies and desserts.  What good memories I have of those family reunions .  This book Sally’s Baking Addiction is loaded with 75 of Sally McKenney’s mouthwatering recipes!  All things I would want to eat including Pretzel Peanut Butter Cups, White Chocolate Raspberry Cupcakes, Caramel Coffee Chocolate Chip Torte and many more wonderful sounding treats.

The author Sally McKenney loves to bake and was named by Huffington Post as one of the Top 10 Food Blogs to Watch in 2013.  Her famous Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Cookies won Nestle¹s Dark Chocolate contest in 2013, and now, in her first cookbook, Sally shares her baking secrets with  fans everywhere.

I found a recipe that I thought would be perfect for the 4th of July. It is something you can enjoy with your family and I am sure your kids will love it and it is fast and easy!

Funfetti Chex Mix®

Some desserts are simply made to have fun while you eat. And this sweet Chex Mix® is a huge party in a bowl! Each cereal square tastes like funfetti cake, complete with a plethora of colorful sprinkles. I like to make this addicting little snack for every holiday, using different colored sprinkles. It takes minutes to throw together and even less time to gobble up!

Prep time: 10 minutes • Total time: 10 minutes • Makes: 6 cups

6 cups (150g) Rice Chex cereal

12oz (350g) white chocolate chips (or white candy melts or white almond bark)

1 tsp shortening

1/2 cup (80g) sprinkles

1 cup (140g) yellow or white boxed dry cake mix

1/2 cup (60g) confectioners’ sugar

1 Pour the cereal into a very large bowl. Set aside.

2 Melt the white chocolate chips and shortening together in a medium microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments until melted, stirring well after each increment. Be sure to watch it carefully, as white chocolate tends to seize quickly within seconds. Once melted and smooth, pour it over the cereal, stirring very gently to coat. You do not want to break up the cereal.

3 Pour the sprinkles, dry cake mix, and confectioners’ sugar into a large zippedtop bag or large Tupperware® container. Add the cereal. Seal the bag or container and shake until all the cereal is coated with the powdered mixture. Discard any excess powder. Cover the snack mix and store at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

BC-37C Star Spangled Blueberry Parfait

I love the 4th of July.  When I was younger we use to have a family reunion up the path at my Grandparents house. It was always so much fun.  Lots of good food and we saw cousins that we didn’t see all that often.  I remember Grandpa Peters always bought small bottles of Seymour Pop.  Then we would have sparklers and watch the fireworks that were shot off.

This week I am going to post some fun and easy treats or things to do for your 4th of July. I hope everyone has nice weather and can spend the day outside!  Today recipe is courtesy of Blueberry Council’s consumer website. You can find a ton of great recipes there. I hope you Enjoy it!

  • ¼ cup red currant jelly or other red fruit jam
  • 2 containers (6 ounces each) lowfat vanilla yogurt
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries

  2. Return remaining cake to the freezer for another use
  3. Spread 7 of the slices with jelly
  4. Top with plain slices
  5. Trim off and discard crusts

I can’t believe the 4th of July is right around the corner. I don’t know where the time goes. On the 4th we are going to have a BBQ/Picnic. I found a great craft project to make to use for the day on P&Geveryday. I am going to make Easy Picnic Utensil Holders. They were fun and easy to make.  IMG_0415

It only took a few items to make these handy Utensil Holders Paper ~ sacks (brown paper “lunch” bags), colored tape, plastic utensils and paper napkins.

The first step is to take the lunch bag and place it on a hard surface and fold it up from the bottom.  This is the pocket to put the utensils.  Create a crisp crease.

Next take a strip of colored tape and place half of it on the top edge of your folded piece, and then press down to make sure the tape adheres correctly. Do the same to each side of the bag.

If you want to personalize the holder now would be the time to add stamps, stickers, names or phrases like “Bon Appetit” or “Eat, Drink and Be Merry”.

The finial step is adding the napkin and plastic utensils.  It is fun getting colored napkins and utensils to match your theme.

My finished Picnic Utensil Holders

What is really great is that you can open the bag when you are done eating and collect all your trash to throw away.  So not only is it a cute idea it is practical too!

I really like P&Geveryday they have all kinds of articles on the site.  You will find delicious recipes, beauty trends, smart tips, DIY projects, fresh ideas, product ratings and reviews, coupons from trusted brands and much more. They have some great Quick & Easy Recipes that I love – like  4 things to do with left-over mashed potatoes and No Bake Peanut Butter Pie.  There is a section on family bonding.  You can find something new every day.  They have great ideas for holidays too.  I try to go to P&Geveryday™ a few times a week.

P&Geveryday™ is about listening to what you truly need and sharing resourceful ideas, advice and products to make it easy for you to enjoy life … every day.  It is your online platform created by Procter & Gamble, a company that has been establishing brands for the past 175 years.

I think P&Geveryday has something for everyone.  Make sure you check them out and leave me a comment on what you found that you like.  Check out their P&Geveryday Facebook page for even more ideas on how to achieve a life full of rewarding moments.Kaisy1

Do you hate the way your eyes look? Do you have dark circles and puffiness under your eyes?  I did too ~ I know part was from not sleeping well and the other was just getting a bit older.  I started using Insta Natural’s Youth Express Eye Gel.  It is 100% natural and 75% organic. Some of the ingredients in Youth Express Eye Gel are Plant Stem Cells which helps mitigate premature aging to the skin, Matrixl 3000 which helps tighten and firm the skin around your eyes and Hyaluronic Acid which moisturizes your skin.

Here are the benifits of using Insta Natural Youth Express Eye Gel:

  • Reduces the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, dryness and sagging
  • Increases elasticity, firms and plumps the skin
  • Provides improved tone and texture
  • Hydrates your skin
  • Made in the USA

I really like this product it is easy to use you just put a small amount on your finger tip and blend it in.  I found that you can use this on your entire face ~ which I like as it saves money and time using only one product. It is safe on all skin types and contains no parabens, sulfates or alcohol.  I use it twice a day – in the morning and at night.  I also wear it under my makeup. It blends in nicely and does not give you a greasy look.

If you would like to purchase Insta Natural HERE on Amazon.com.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
