Who says that the road towards true love is straight and even?  Sophie is certainly discovering that it is anything but.

 So she has finally found the man of her dreams!  Well… she knows who he is, even though she hasn’t actually quite met him yet.  But she misses her opportunity, and then her life goes crazy.  Rock star and ex-fiancé, Dan, keeps getting in the way of her new romance—even if he is just trying to be helpful.  A fire, an impromptu mini-trip with Dan, and a dreaded wedding later, Sophie is still struggling to meet the love of her life.  Then, just as she is getting it together with her perfect man, best friend Rachel commits an act of unspeakable betrayal.

 Sophie has had enough.  Confused and distraught, she decides that it is time for radical change.  Surprising herself and shocking her friends, she embarks on a secret journey eventually gets her life back on track.

My Review:

I really liked Sophie’s Run.  It had a couple twist that I did not expect.  I am glad there is another book coming out in the Trilogy.

Poor Sophie on her 30th birthday she was having a party at her flat when the worse thing that could happen happened.  Her flat caught on fire!  Her flat would take a number of weeks to rebuild.  So she moved in with her ex-boyfriend rock star until the repairs were done.  After all that happens to Sophie – she decides to go away for awhile. Everyone was pretty surprised but she needed some times.  Sofie always dreamed of dating a rock star and she did –  Dan.  The next thing she dreamed was to be a rock star herself.  Does she find her true love? You will need to read the story to find out what happens next.  I am sure you will enjoy Sophie’s Run as much as I did.

I love bath products.  I don’t know why people think I am hard to buy a gift for. I would love any bath and body product.  I recently tried some products from Tree Hut and found a couple new favorites.

The first thing I tried was a sugar scrub in the Hawaiian Kukui scent.  I have never smelled the Kukui scent and it had a pleasant smell.  What I liked best about the sugar scrub is the consistency.  It wasn’t to hard it wasn’t to running, and it was easy to easy.  It is very import to to take care of every part of your body when exfoliating in the shower. You probably already use a face cleanser with exfoliating agent in it but what about the rest of your body? Using a sugar scrub is a great way to rid the body of dead skin cells on hands, feet, shoulders, back, arm and knees. With a little bit of pressure, use a wash cloth or your hand to massage the sugar scrub into your skin along your entire body so that it cleanses and exfoliates the skin to perfect glow.

Then after using the sugar scrub I used a Coconut Lime Body Butter.  It was rich and creamy and soaked right into my skin with out much rubbing.  It did not leave my skin feeling or looking oily. The extra thick body butter, infused with certified organic Shea butter, Cocoa butter, Coconut extracts and Safflower Seed oil, was designed to seal in moisture, giving a deep moisturization and extra special attention to those problem area.

I am so excited my food has arrived from Nutrisystem and I started yesterday on my way to losing weight.  The food arrived in two different boxes.  The first one was the pantry items.

The food is packaged so it is easy to figure out what is what for each meal.  The blue labels are breakfast, the orange is lunch, the purple are snacks/desserts and the red are dinners.  When they come in the box they are all separated out so they are easy to find and to put away.  The pantry items included enough for 18 days of meals.

Also with the pantry shipment you get a daily planner which makes it easy for you to record what you are eating.  Each page is separated into sections with the same coloring as the packaging so it again easy to figure out what to eat.

The frozen items came a few days later and were in a Styrofoam container with dry ice.  Everything was frozen and it included food for 10 days.  Some of the desserts look so good – there was ice cream sandwiches, a brownie sundae, and even an orange cream bar.

There is so much variety that you can have something different every day.  I am sure everyone would find something they like.

 

Yesterday was my first day on the Nutrisystem food and I was not hungry at all and what I ate was good.  Here is what I ate.

Breakfast was Maple Flavored Breakfast Patty which I ate on a piece of whole grain bread which is a Smart Carb (next week I will talk about the other things you eat along with the Nutrisystem food).  I also had a vanilla protein drink. Both tasted great!

Morning Snack – I had a container of low-fat yogurt.

Lunch was Spicy Kung Pao Noodles and I added some chicken to mine to get my Power Fuel in. I really liked the noodles they had a bit of a kick and great flavor.  Along with the noodles I had a salad with lettuce, onions and cucumbers. I used some low-fat yogurt dressing.

Afternoon snack – I still had a Power Fuel to use from Lunch so had a piece of turkey wrapped up with lettuce and cucumbers, and for my Smart Carb I had a Cutie (small orange).

Dinner was Roast Beef & Gravy With Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Along with that I had sauteed some zucchini, onions, and mushrooms with garlic.  It was a great dinner.

Dessert was some Nutrisystem popcorn while I watched TV.

All and all my first day on program was great! I am looking forward to try all the different food and finding some new vegetable sides to have with them.

“I’m Annabel. Is this your first time in New York?” she asked, grasping for straws to start a conversation. It had been so long since she had flirted with a guy.

“Yeah.” Frank nodded. “I’m from Park City, Utah. It’s way more my speed over there, if you get my meaning. I’m here visiting an old buddy of mine. We grew up together, but I’m not sure if coming out here was such a good idea after all.”

“How come?” Annabel asked, too curious to stop herself.

“Well, we used to be real close, but he’s a different person now. He works for some big-name financial firm. I was hoping he might help me get financing for a business that I want to start, but it doesn’t look like it. I’ve been here almost a week, and he’s been so busy working that we haven’t even hung out together. I pretty much ended up roaming the streets of Manhattan on my own.”

“Well, if you’d like, I could show you around the City tomorrow,” Annabel blurted out before she could catch herself. Normally, she would never do something so spur of the moment as asking a total stranger out, but apparently, Madam Aurora’s charm had given her new boldness.

Frank shifted in his seat uneasily. “Thank you and all, but I’ve got a girlfriend back home, and I know that she wouldn’t like that.” He shrugged apologetically.

“No, no, it’s fine. I wouldn’t want your girlfriend to be jealous.” Now this was a sucker punch. She had opened her mind to new possibilities, as Madam Aurora had instructed her to do, and immediately got shot down. Thankfully, they were nearing Seventieth Street, and Annabel asked the cab driver to pull over.

“I’m sorry,” Frank apologized. “Please, don’t think me rude, but I’ve never been good at beating around the bush. If you don’t mind me saying, I think you’re real pretty, and if I didn’t have a girlfriend, I’d jump at the chance to go out with you.”

Actually, I do mind, Annabel thought. She did not need his apology or pity. She just wanted to get the hell out of that cab.

“Well, have a great stay in New York,” she called over her shoulder as she climbed out of the cab.

Standing on the pavement, Annabel watched the cab pull away, feeling like she could fall straight through the ground from embarrassment. What’s wrong with you? she thought. Get a hold of yourself. It’s just some random guy you’ll never see again. Who cares? But, of course, that was not the reason why she felt sideswiped, still gasping for breath from the impact of the blow. No, it was because despite her instincts telling her otherwise, she had decided to take a chance and failed. If this was the work of Madam Aurora’s talisman, she did not need it.
