This week I want to read “At Last” by Jill Shalvis; it is her newest book in the Lucky Harbor Novel series.  I have fallen in love with the small town and the quirky people who live there.  It is a small town and anything you need to know about anyone is posted on Facebook by the town gossip Lucille.
Goodreads review: HER LOVE HAS COME ALONG . . .
Amy Michaels loves her new life in Lucky Harbor. A waitress in the local diner, she’s looking forward to her first weekend hike through the mountains. But when a wrong turn takes her off the trail, she finds herself up close and personal with forest ranger Matt Bowers. And even though she’s tempted to kiss that sexy smile right off his face, she won’t make the mistake of getting involved with the town heartthrob.

A former cop whose life went south, Matt doesn’t let anyone get too close. But something about the feisty beauty caught his eye the moment he first saw her in the diner. After a hot night under a starry sky, Matt can’t deny their attraction-or the fact that for the first time in a long time, he feels the stirrings of something more. Now it’s up to Matt to help Amy see that, no matter what is in their past, together they can build a future in Lucky Harbor.

See my review in a few days; this is book #5 in the Lucky Harbor Novel series.  One more is ready for release on July 31, 2012.  Read them all.

Today is Cheese Sacrifice Purchase Day.  I wasn’t sure what this meant but found out that If you wish to catch some mice. First some cheese you must sacrifice, so buy the cheese today and then sacrifice some of the cheese to catch a mouse.

Review: Sprinkle with Murder (Cupcake Bakery Mystery #1) by Jenn McKinlay
Summary from Goodreads: Melanie Cooper and Angie DeLaura are finally living out their dream as the proud owners of the Fairy Tale Cupcakes bakery. But their first big client is a nightmare. She’s a bridezilla who wants 500 custom cupcakes for her wedding.

When Mel stumbles upon the bride-to-be dead-by-cupcake, she becomes the prime suspect. To save themselves and their business, the ladies need to find the real murderer, before the cupcake killer ices someone else.

My Review: This is the first in a series, and I thought it was a fun read.  In this book Melanie and Angie were hired by the co-owner and best friend Tate to bake cupcakes for his wedding to Christine a famous and demanding fashion designer. When Christine is discovered murdered Mel and Angie need to find out who the real murderer is or close their business. The book has many interesting people including Angie’s over protective brothers who all want her to go back to teaching and Olivia the owner of the other bakery in town.  There are many twists in turns in the book and I did not know until the end who was the real murderer.  I can’t wait to read the next in the series.
