Do you have cardboard boxes and packaging left over from the holidays? Don’t throw them away! Upcycling these boxes to give them a new life, instead, it is a fun and environmentally-friendly option. That is if you can get them before your cat does. Jasper just loves boxes.

Just the right size for him!
Now this one is a more comfortable.

TheSoul Publishing – one of the leading content providers on YouTube – has several creative hacks to turn a cardboard box into aesthetically pleasing and 100% recycled home storage. These crafty hacks, which can be found in this video. Here are two that would be easy to make.

Here is a cute way to store notebooks, journals and books. It’s easy to do – just follow these directions.

  1. Use a sharp knife or scissors to cut a shoebox in half diagonally
  2. Use contact paper or tightly adhered wrapping paper to completely cover the remaining cardboard
  3. Adhere the long sides of the remaining sections together, back to back
  4. Use to store books, office supplies, and more!
Pencil Container
  1. Using a scissors, cut a long, narrow box (such as a perfume box or toothpaste box) in half.
  2. Glue or tape the two sides together, so that both holes face up
  3. Using a hot glue gun, glue paper straws cut in half along the perimeter of the box
  4. Set on your desk to hold pencils!

There is lots more you can do to up-cycle left over boxes. Have fun seeing what you can create. I would love to see what you come up with.

An orthodontist is an oral health professional who is capable of treating a variety of jaw and bite irregularities. A Highlands Ranch Orthodontist can help you achieve the beautiful, healthy smile of which you have always dreamed. This will reduce the wear and tear on teeth that would otherwise be protruding. There are a few common problems that a trained orthodontist can treat.

Teeth that Are Overcrowded

Crowded teeth can be a serious issue for patients. If your teeth are overcrowded, this means that there isn’t enough space in your jaw to accommodate all of your teeth. While you might notice your crowded teeth in the mirror, this can lead to serious oral health problems as well. This can lead to uneven wear and tear on the surfaces of your teeth. This can also lead to gum problems. Finally, this might make it hard for you to adequately brush all surfaces of your teeth, leading to decay.

Problems with the Spacing of the Teeth

Gaps between your teeth can occur anywhere in your jaw. While some spacing issues might be present since birth, this can also result from teeth that are either too small or missing entirely. Finally, some kids who suck their thumb can push the teeth forward, leading to spacing. If the teeth are too far apart, this can make it hard to bite cleanly and can lead to tooth decay. A trained orthodontist can move the teeth closer together, creating a straight smile.

An Open Bite

Next, an open bite is a common issue that an orthodontist can treat. This happens when the upper and lower teeth do not join together properly when the mouth closes. This usually happens with the jawbone is not lined up correctly. Chewing on foreign objects and thumb sucking can cause the jaw to misalign. If the bite is open, this makes it hard for patients to break apart food, leading to nutritional issues. An orthodontist has numerous tools at his or her disposal to treat this alignment issue and correct an open bite.

Trust the Experience of a Trained Orthodontist

These are a few of the most common problems that can be addressed by a trained orthodontist. If you have problems with your teeth, bite, or smile, you have treatment options at your disposal. Not only can an orthodontist improve the aesthetic of your smile but also your oral health as well!

If you love creating content and thoroughly enjoy cooking, you might want to consider starting a food blog. If you don’t know where to start, check out these four steps to start a successful food blog.

1. Get a website.
Come up with a great name and purchase the domain name. It’s also wise to purchase web hosting. Get a web designer and web developer to help you create an ideal website. If you already know how to do those tasks, implement them and have fun.

2. Develop content.
Figure out the angle you’d like to take. It’s a really good idea to take classic meals and put your own spin on them. When you do this, you’ll develop your own flair and it’ll give people a reason to specifically follow you. You can also consider trying other recipes by other chefs and bloggers. However, if you’re developing a blog that you’re going to be the authority, it’s best to predominately share your own original content. It’s also wise to take a look at what other food bloggers are doing so that you can get a better idea of how to brand yourself. If you’d like to focus on a specific type of cuisine, get clear and write down a bunch of recipes. As you develop content, you’ll be able to plan ahead and have a good editorial calendar.

3. Take pictures.
Read lots of food styling books and watch tutorials online. Learn how to perfectly style your food so that when a food photographer New York comes to take pictures of the food, everything looks really appealing and delicious. Don’t be afraid to experiment with color and texture. When you have fun with the process, it’ll shine through in the pictures.

4. Share content consistently.
If people don’t know that your blog exists, they can’t read it or support it. Don’t be afraid to share the hard work you’ve put into your blog. Start by sharing it on all of your social media channels. Then, submit it to blog directories. Comment on similar blogs and develop a camaraderie with other food bloggers. As long as you follow this formula in an authentic way, you’ll build a following over time.

Getting an invite to an event is always exciting. Be it a wedding, or a party, we all love an excuse to dress up. But, if your first thought is to hit the shops and buy a new frock, you might need to step back and consider your actions. We get it. Nothing beats the feeling of hitting each event with a new outfit. How better to boost your confidence and stand out on the night?

But, new dresses are rarely cheap. So much so that only getting one wear out of each option is criminal. Yet, this is a habit that a shocking amount of us get into. The trouble is, this thinking leads to undue stress and wasted money. To overcome the problem, ask yourself why you feel the need to act this way. To help you along, let’s look at some of the answers which may crop up.

You can’t get your old dress clean

If you’re going to spill something, you can be sure you’ll do it while wearing a beautiful dress. Worse, these dresses are rarely easy to clean. It’s certainly never a case of sticking them in the washing machine. As a result, many of us leave those dresses in the closet, swearing we’ll clean them one day. In the meantime, we buy more new pieces, some of which are sure to end on the dirty pile as well. In truth, though, cleaning like this isn’t as complicated as you think. All you need to do is search for ‘great dry cleaning services near me’, and see what you find. Once you locate a cleaning company which serves you well, dirty dresses need never be an issue again.

People have seen you wearing that dress already

A lot of this behavior comes down to pressure. It’s common to worry other people have already seen a dress. You might feel you have no choice but to get something new each time. In truth, though, this isn’t realistic. Okay, you might want to hold off wearing the same dress to two events in a row. But, can you remember what your friends wore at the last few parties you went to? It’s unlikely, and they would probably say the same about you. The chances are that no one would bat an eyelid if you wore the same dress countless times.

You want to feel good

Let’s not forget that, a lot of the time, we buy new outfits because we want to feel good. If you’ve put on a little weight or aren’t feeling confident, your existing wardrobe can leave you lacking. So, you hit the shops in the hope you’ll find something which makes you feel good again. In truth, though, covering feelings like these with new clothes is no way to go. That new piece certainly won’t make you feel confident for long. Instead, you should address these issues. Practice self-love, or focus on losing weight naturally. These are affordable goals with lasting power.

Successful people tend to share similar traits. If you want to improve yourself, bolster your career or even prepare yourself to start a business, then here are the most useful traits and habits that you should develop.

Know yourself

If you don’t understand yourself then how do you plan to improve yourself? Learn what motivates you, what makes you procrastinate and what helps you work harder.

Strong body, strong mind

It’s important to keep your body strong if you plan to keep your mind strong. Don’t neglect your health and body and use a daily workout regime to keep yourself focused.

Have no fear

Fear prevents you from reaching the success you deserve. Whether it’s a fear of the unknown or a fear of losing your investment, you need to fight back those problems that are holding you back from growing yourself.

Remove your pride

Good business leaders all know that they’re not the best in their fields and that their position can be compromised at any time. Complacency and pride have no place among successful people so get rid of it.

Always be willing to learn

It doesn’t matter how smart or knowledgeable you think you are–it’s important to learn. Study from books, attend online courses and listen to life quotes from others to bolster your knowledge.

Everyone has a vision of who they want to be in their head. You may want to be engaged in purposeful work, active, free from chronic illness or pain, fit, or surrounded by loving and supportive people. But achieving these goals is easier said than done even when you feel like you’ve tried everything.

There are thousands of Americans who are looking to achieve the same goals. They buy self-improvement books and products to try to achieve their personal goals. But no matter how much money you spend trying to improve yourself, you won’t get anywhere if you don’t stick to good habits.

Don’t waste your time looking for the right book or product for you. You want to create a plan that will stick and work. Here are seven tips to achieve your personal goals and create good habits.

1. Start with Cognitive Goals

Mental health is just as important as physical health. If you’re seeking to get physically fit but are in a bad place mentally, you’re not going to get anywhere. If you have a job that mentally exhausts you, a mental illness that is holding you back, or anything else, then you want to address those mental blocks first.

If you don’t feel as though you are ready to work on physical goals, then focus on your cognitive goals. Focus on the benefits you can gain from making a change and ways that you can work on working towards those goals.

2. Shift Your Goals to Long-Term

Things like fad diets that last a month or even a week are created for fast results. They’re a start to living a healthier life, but these types of fitness crazes are also not feasible for the long-term. You can’t juice for every meal for the rest of your life. It’s not healthy. Plus, fad diets only show results for maybe a few weeks and then you revert back to your old ways.

Instead of focusing on the popular diet of the month, shift your focus to creating a sustainable change. If you are slowly working on a home renovation project, instead of haphazardly starting and partially completing one project because of the costs, consider applying for an online personal loan to give you the budget you need to accomplish your goals in the long term.  If you own a start-up online business, look at the cost of your web hosting service and find out if there is a better web host for your money. If you’re trying to save up to eventually get Lasik corrective eye surgery someday, then start a specific bank account just for that explicit purpose.

All this is to say that when you shift your goals to the long term, you’ll also be able to better understand your budget and how you need to plan for the costs of your goals. When you know your budget, you’ll be able to strategize how to create good habit (like saving money) to get to those goals.

3.  Small Steps Are Big Victories

Slow and steady wins the race is more than just a clever phrasing. It’s the small steps that you make that really push you towards your goals. When you see children playing on playground equipment when they are first starting to walk, every little step is a victory. Who knows, maybe someday one of those children will be an Olympic athlete someday.

You should look at your own small steps in the same manner. Ease yourself into habits that you’re trying to work into your routine. If you’re looking to run a mile in under a certain amount of time, start with walking a mile a few times a week. Work your way up from there. If you’re looking to reduce anxiety, try meditation for a few minutes a week. These may sound obvious or easy, but that’s the whole point. Easing yourself into these things makes the whole journey feel like less of a struggle.

4. Every Action Matters

Each thing you do to feel healthier is meaningful, but there are extra actions you can do to help you along the way. There are simple things like parking farther away from the grocery store so that you walk.

You can also ensure that you’re setting goals and meeting those goals. If you tell yourself that you’re going to the gym for a certain number of hours each week, take steps to join a gym. Increase the amount of time you stay there each week. While it seems like a small action, it will get you closer to your goal.

5. Don’t Rely on Motivation

Motivation is a fickle thing. While it drives us to want to form healthy habits, it can be gone within the week. It’s something that you can’t always depend on because of this reason. To ensure that you don’t slack on your goals, have another method in place, so it’s not just your motivation driving you.

Come up with ways to help you cope when your motivation is gone. Create backup plans, ask for support from your social circle, or post reminders to annoy yourself into getting things done. Motivation will return, and you don’t want to feel like you’re starting from the beginning when it does.

6. Be Accountable

When you feel accountable to someone, you will usually work harder. Go to the gym with a buddy or having a mentor regularly check on your progress with a project. These will give you the necessary push to get your goals done.

However, you might not always have someone to rely on to keep you in check. That’s why it’s important that you set up a system where you are keeping track of your own progress. Analyze what helps you to succeed and what gets you off track.

When you’re doing well, reward yourself. As time goes on, you’ll fall into a routine that is habitual, and you’ll be able to reach your goals more quickly.

7. Have Fun

Reaching your goals shouldn’t feel like exhausting work. Remember to enjoy the process and reward yourself as you progress. Whether it’s playing online casino games for a chance to win, splurging on a new camping tent for the summer, or giving yourself the gift of sleep with a new mattress, let yourself do something enjoyable as you work toward your goals. Feel proud of what you have already accomplished. If what you’re doing isn’t bringing you joy, adjust your plan until it does.

For any family that likes to move around, one of the major things you want is variety. One of the big reasons for travelling at all is to enjoy some variety, and this means being able to explore vastly different worlds and different kinds of experience in a short space of time. It’s likely that you and your family are looking for the next favorite all-round destination, and the truth is there are probably a lot of contenders for this position. In this post, we are going to be making the argument for Albuquerque, one of the US’ real hidden gems. In all likelihood, you know of the place, but not many of the details. Let’s fix that now – and see whether it isn’t going to be your next favorite family jaunt.

Educational

Travelling with teens can mean that you want the experience to be rewarding in more ways than one. As well as being fun, you want them to gain something from the travels in an educational sense. Of course, this can be hard to actually make happen if you are moving around all the time, but one of the best ways to do so is to make sure that you visit places with a lot to teach. Albuquerque is absolutely such a place. It is richly steeped in history, with plenty to offer in terms of educational content. Go to any of its amazing museums and you will find yourself endlessly fascinated by what you will learn, and your teens are bound to get something out of it too.

Hospitable

Whenever you’re travelling with your family in tow, you want to be sure that you can keep them all safe and protected, and enable them to enjoy wherever you stay as much as possible. Fortunately, places like Albuquerque offer you the ability to do just that, thanks in large part to its fantastic offering of luxury accommodation like the Albuquerque Marriott. Knowing that your next destination is a hospitable one, and one which your children can therefore be comfortable and safe in, will mean that you can relax and just enjoy the experience for what it is. It is one less thing to worry about – and when you are travelling extensively, this is especially important on your list of concerns.

Beautiful

What’s the point in travelling if you don’t get to see some beautiful sights once in a while? If you are looking for somewhere that you and the kids can really take in some beautiful landscapes, then you could do much worse than visiting Albuquerque, a location known for its wide range of views on offer. From the mountainous to the calm streams and fields, you will be able to get out in nature and just enjoy what it has to offer you. This keeps the family calm and happy, and makes the process of travelling much easier to deal with on the whole. Just remember to move on to your next destination at some point!

The family home is more than just bricks and a roof. It forms the foundation of your daily interactions, providing comfort and security for the entire household. Generally speaking, we are taught to accept the idea that bigger is better. But could downsizing actually be a better option?

As with any major life decision, there are pros and cons to consider. However, you probably know all about the potential downsides, so let’s pay attention to the positives instead. Here’s all you need to know.

New Beginnings

Whether downsizing, upsizing, or moving to a property of similar dimensions doesn’t matter. Entering a new home gives your family the ideal opportunity to start living the lives that they wish to lead.

Nevertheless, downsizing can be particularly useful as it can often allow you to live in a better location. When buying a home, you aren’t just purchasing a property. You are taking on a new neighborhood, which is why considering the school and work facilities is key. On a similar note, choosing a location with great attractions can lead to a better lifestyle.

Downsizing doesn’t always lead to those benefits, but keeping those options open can have a telling impact on your happiness levels.

Finances

The most common incentive for downsizing comes from the chance to gain a better financial situation. As a rule of thumb, a smaller property will cost less than the current one. If those funds can provide life benefits that outweigh the sacrifices, it’s well worth considering this route.

Money saved from downsizing can allow you to buy a better car, take more regular holidays, and enjoy a better standard of living. The fact that you’ll save money on heating and other ongoing services ensures that those financial rewards continue for years.

Even if it’s simply to pay off your debts, the financial factor should not be ignored. Whether we like it or not, money plays a key role in our lives. Taking control of this aspect can only have a positive impact on your family’s situation.

Time & Organization

Most people enjoy the thought of a big home. In reality, though, it often doesn’t make sense from a practical perspective. If your free time is dedicated to cleaning all of those extra rooms, you’ll never get a chance to enjoy the space anyway.

Downsizing encourages you to prioritize and reduce the waste. When you find fantastic storage near me services, it’s possible to take some time to decide which items are truly needed in the new home. The others can be sold or utilized in other ways. Either way, regaining control of those life aspects will open a world of benefits.

Frankly, that has to be worth far more than possessing a guest room or unused garage.

The Final Word

Downsizing certainly comes with its negatives. However, families in many situations can find that the benefits easily outweigh those. While it’s not right for everyone, ruling it out altogether would be very foolish indeed.
