Mod Pizza is one of our favorite places to go on “No Cook Friday”.  We love that we can chose from 30 feel-good ingredients, prepped fresh daily and ready to go. Mix it up. Be spontaneous. Meaty to vegan and everything in between. My favorite has Canadian Bacon, bacon, onion, mushrooms and roasted garlic! I do try to switch it up each time we go in.  The prices are good too – Rex and I both get a pizza and a soda and it is around $20.  We even normally have some left for lunch the next day.

When you already have a family of your own with a partner and children, adding a parent into the family home is a major life change. There will be a need to have someone in the home most of the time. Making a switch to part-time work could lead to a loss of income, while there will inevitably be some additional expenses before and after they’ve moved in. Where Will Their Bedroom Be?

With parents who are finding it difficult to get around, you have a couple of options.

The first option is to convert one of the downstairs rooms into a bedroom. Switch a spare bedroom upstairs to create a new living space. They will need privacy too, so is there a way to access the kitchen and other areas downstairs without walking through their new bedroom?

The second option is to have a stairlift installed which they sit in and strap into. They are then raised (or lowered) up or down the stairs. This is a popular option because it removes the need to convert a downstairs room.
